Poste Job Title: Associate Manager, Merchandising, Women's Leathergoods Reports to: Director, Merchandising, Women's Leathergoods Job objective: Responsible for supporting the Handbag business in leading the business strategy, buying process, allocation, competitive market analysis and product tool creation for the Americas Boutiques. Duties and responsibilities: Merchandising Functions
  • Review and complete weekly sales reports, stock on hand, and delivery receipts to support Handbags sales plan
  • Communicate and partner closely with Retail teams to lead day to day product inquiries, collect qualitative feedback and present business updates on Retail calls
  • Participate and share new ideas to drive Leather Goods Handbags & Exotic business strategy
  • Aggregate boutique feedback for collection launch and end of season recaps
  • Prepare comprehensive recaps on driven pricing, trends, market activities, and events
  • Support assortment for new store openings, pop ups and events
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store calls/visits and monthly Leather Goods market analysis
  • Work with Senior Merchandising Manager on effective communication with the Paris central merchandising team to provide feedback and outline market needs
  • Create and lead seasonal launch tools: buy book creation, lead photo and selling tools, ensure client orders are filled accurately, strategically adjust allocations based on business needs
  • Support Senior Merchandising Managers to complete Reserve process; including product selection, units to open, order validation in partnership with Supply Chain, follow up with stores and tracking conversion
  • Assist Manager during seasonal markets in Paris/Virtual Market, while remaining positive, energetic, and organized while meeting tight deadlines during high-paced and demanding buying sessions
  • Participate in premarket analysis: by store, by classification, by collection and recap findings
  • Review sales results on Advertising campaigns and catalogue styles
Reporting functions
  • Prepare weekly selling reports and support on newsletters
  • Complete analysis on fast/slow sellers, sell-thru, client metrics and provide business insights
  • Compile seasonal & Event collection feedback from boutiques
  • Prepare and run Event sales recaps

  • Effectively and expertly communicate with Boutique teams and Paris headquarters

Requirements:
  • At least 3-4 years prior Merchandising/Buying experience, luxury retail Women's experience preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail KPIs
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office programs, specifically excellent skills in PowerPoint
  • Ability for domestic and international travel
ProfilThe selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $90,000- $105,000 per annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
