This position is based out of one of the following offices on a hybrid schedule: Waltham, MA; Lake Worth, FL; or Chicago, IL. Your impact: The Associate Manager of People Business Partners leads and oversees the People Business Partner team on strategic business partnerships for all entities under our growing family of brands. This role supports business leaders, both domestic and global, to drive the talent agenda and act as a change-agent, advisor and thought partner to elevate People strategies. The Associate Manager leads the partnership with management and employees in delivering a spectrum of strategic and tactical People Team support and programs in a multinational setting.
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement People strategies across multiple countries that support business objectives and global initiatives. Conduct in person meetings at various business sites, and monthly virtual meetings with business leaders. Provide insights on what is working well and opportunity areas.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a lead expert advisor on complex employee relations issues, performance issues, and grievances while ensuring local domestic and global labor laws are adhered to and fostering a positive employee experience. Act as a key advisor by coaching leaders at various levels on complex leadership and talent issues as a grounding force towards solutions in a thoughtful and strategic manner. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Global HR: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international labor laws and regulations, including GDPR, employment standards, benefits, and compensation practices in multiple regions, ensuring the organization's policies and procedures are compliant with local legal requirements across all operating countries. Partner with legal on employment contracts, employee classifications, and termination procedures across various countries. Work with Talent Acquisition team on implementing global recruitment strategies that cater to the diverse talent needs of different regions, ensuring a consistent employer brand while tailoring approaches to local markets. Foster a cohesive company culture and enhance employee engagement across globally distributed teams.
  • Change Management: Partner with talent management and leadership teams on driving organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions during restructuring, mergers, or global expansions. Workforce Planning: Collaborate with the talent management team and business leaders to anticipate workforce needs, manage talent pipelines, and plan for and meet the organization's strategic goals in each market. Partner with business leadership to execute a Workforce Strategy that supports the growth and scalability of BEP.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards while accounting for cultural differences.
  • Performance Management: In partnership with Talent Management, Lead performance improvement processes, providing training and tools to managers and ensuring continuous feedback and development across teams globally.
  • People Data and Analytics: Leverage HR data to provide insights and recommendations to drive strategic business decisions, improve processes, and measure the success of People initiatives. Provide analysis on key metrics to Sr Director of People & Talent regarding the health of business entities by looking at trends in performance, employee satisfaction, attrition, diversity etc.
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a business partner or HR generalist role.
  • Global HR experience is required.
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or departments, ideally within a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Ability to do some periodic travel up to 15-20%
  • Drive Revenue & Profitability:
    • Strong experience in HR, including complex employee relations and global HR.
    • Consistently achieve results; demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Understanding basic financial principles, such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis, is essential for making informed business decisions.
    • Regularly considers customer feedback and integrates it into business practices and strategies.
  • Drive Strategy & Execution:
    • Experience leading or coaching junior HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of HR programs.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
    • Contribute to the organization by understanding and aligning actions with the organization's goals, core functions, needs, and values.
    • Acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems and make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
    • Seek out and incorporate multiple perspectives, experiences, and industry trends to develop a holistic perspective.
  • Drive Innovation & Operational Excellence:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and keen attention to detail
    • Competency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Experience with HRIS, preferably ADP WFN.
    • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, work well under pressure, adapt and respond within a complex, dynamic and rapidly changing business environment.
    • Data literate with strong business acumen
    • Proven ability to seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a busy, demanding environment.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in leveraging data to inform decision-making.
    • Innovative and adaptable, with a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
