If you're looking to be a part of a passionate team solving these complex problems, then Rotary and Mission Systems is the place for you.The WorkThe functional manager in this position will be responsible for management and leadership of the US Navy Mission Systems Integration and Test organization in Mount Laurel, NJ. The successful candidate will manage an RMS Engineering and Technology (E&T) organization of approximately 20 highly skilled and diverse engineers supporting the programs within the IWSS organization.Responsibilities include:• Assignment of work tasks, providing performance appraisals, career planning, and training development required for direct reports.• Conduct staffing and manpower planning to support current and anticipated projects, including interviewing and hiring personnel as required. Coordinate staffing requirements closely with other Systems Engineering units and IPT leads.• Define, communicate and coordinate staffing priorities as well as funding requirements with the appropriate project leads.• Act as a stakeholder for programs ensuring domain area is appropriately represented.• Review and approve functional proposal inputs including BOEs and scopes of work.• Own, execute, and status department and RMS level initiatives, including promotion and adoption of Digital Transformation processes.• Act as change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovationWho We AreLockheed Martin is a global aerospace, defense, and security company dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and harnessing innovation to make the world a safer place. ( Qualifications:• BS Degree in EE, SE, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent• Knowledge of Aegis• Experience in architecture, analysis, design, and trade studies• Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes, the flowdown of system requirements, and the interaction of system and subsystem requirements that result in a firm set of system and subsystem level performance requirements• Knowledge of emerging system engineering practices and experience in adopting and implementing key practices• Minimum of 3 years' experience in leading a technical team• Active Secret Security ClearanceDesired Skills:• Masters Degree strongly preferred• Demonstrated interpersonal, team-building skills, strong work ethic• Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and enhance skills• In-depth knowledge of RMS processes• Expertise with Agile methodology and tools, automated testing and continuous integrationSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
