Job Description:THE OPPORTUNITYScholastic is looking for a creative, smart, and motivated Associate Marketing Manager to create and execute plans that promote our books to their best advantage! This role focuses on Young Adult campaigns that is comprised of a diverse range of critically acclaimed and bestselling authors like Alice Oseman, Lamar Giles, Kelly Andrew, Ann Liang, Ryan La Sala, as well as debut and rising stars. This Associate Marketing Manager will focus on marketing that targets teens and adult readers and works closely with our sales team and retailers. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Director.RESPONSIBILITIESManage campaigns for bestsellers including Heartstopper, Lamar Giles, Kelly Andrew, Ann Liang, Ryan La Sala, Brian Selznick, Sharon Cameron, Sharon Flake, Jennifer Donnelly, and Mason Deaver.Collaborate with brainstorming, writing, and executing marketing plans for young adult titles and series.Project manage the creation of promotional materials, advertisements, videos, social media, websites, and all marketing assets related to assigned titles.Work closely with department assistant on the creation of young adult marketing materials, mailings, and other title specific assets.Strategize and follow-up on online presence for key titles, including websites and social media campaigns.Write copy for creative jobs including advertisements, social media, and website content.Strategize and partner with the Unified Social Media team for I read YA's (Scholastic's Teen Community) title and seasonal campaigns.Communicate marketing updates to sales, editorial, cross-channel partners, agents, and authors as needed.Maintain awareness of the book market and suggest new and innovative ways to market titles to teens, adults, and booksellers.WHO WE AREScholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, a leading provider of core literacy curriculum and professional services, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media.
