Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Media Director with a focus on pharmaceutical marketing (DTC + HCP) to join our team at Merkley + Partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful media strategies within the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of strategic media plans for pharmaceutical clients, including DTC and HCP campaigns.
  • Oversee a team of media supervisors and planners, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account management, creative, and analytics, to develop integrated marketing solutions that drive client objectives.
  • Utilize industry tools and research to identify target audiences, media channels, and optimal media mix.
  • Drive innovation by staying current on emerging media trends, technologies, and new media opportunities.
  • Manage media budgets, negotiate with media vendors, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, media vendors, and industry partners.

Requirements:

  • 4-5+ years of experience in media planning and buying, with a focus on pharmaceutical marketing (DTC + HCP), preferably in a Marketing Advertising Agency
  • Previous Media experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing a team of media professionals.
  • Strong understanding of media planning principles, including audience targeting, media buying, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience with media planning tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
