YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As an Associate Merchandiser based in the New York Corporate office you will play a key role within the Merchandising team. You will assist in the execution of Merchandising initiatives for our Retail locations.
The role provides fundamental support in store support in all areas of Merchandising. The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
* Support the daily management of 14 Wholecession stores, ensuring clear and proactive communication with the Director of Zegna Nordstrom to align on strategy, brand standards, and operational priorities.
* Collaborate closely with the Nordstrom team, maintaining daily touchpoints to swiftly address in-store consolidations, inventory adjustments, and overall store management needs.
* Identify key business opportunities and risks, providing actionable insights and regular updates to the VP and Director of Nordstrom to support strategic decision-making.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of sales trends, compiling weekly reports to capture performance metrics, brand opportunities, and improvement areas for leadership review.
* Facilitate the seasonal buying process for Nordstrom Wholecession locations, ensuring accuracy in total order volume and effective by-door allocation.

* Foster strong relationships with Nordstrom store teams, maintaining regular communication in partnership with the Director, Zegna Nordstrom, to drive alignment and brand advocacy.
* Lead end-of-season inventory management, coordinating with Nordstrom to maximize sell-off potential and optimize stock levels.
* Support the delivery of seasonal training sessions and ongoing development initiatives to ensure store teams are well-equipped with brand and product knowledge.
* Contribute to seasonal buy planning, providing input on product selection, allocation, and order management to meet market demands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in retail, ideally within luxury goods and operations-focused roles.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create detailed reports and presentations.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal teams and Nordstrom partners.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel, spending approximately 25% of time in stores.
* Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on scheduling needs.

COMPENSATION:
* The pay range for this position is $85,000-$95,000, dependent on candidates' relevant skills and experience.
