Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Position Summary

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at University at Buffalo (UB) invites candidates to apply for the positions of Associate Professor or Full Professor with a start date in Spring or Fall 2024. We seek candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty and share the department's vision to help all constituents reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, mentor graduate students, advise students at all levels, and maintain an active research program. Successful candidates for an Associate Professor or Full Professor position should have a strong record of scholarly accomplishments, teaching experience and a sustained externally funded research program. Candidates with research expertise in dynamics and control, fluid-thermal sciences, or materials are preferred, but all areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a closely related field. All academic requirements for the degree must be completed prior to the appointment date.
