About the Job
We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Associate Product Manager for a 6-8 week contract role, with the potential for a full-time position based on performance and fit. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building great products and ready to start their product management career through hands-on experience with both product development and quality assurance. You'll work closely with our product team to shape our software stack, including mobile apps, web apps, integrations, and firmware, while ensuring the highest quality standards. Please note that this contract role requires being in our Nashville office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Product on feature prioritization and roadmap planning for software, firmware, and integrations
- Lead and manage quality assurance testing for our software, firmware, and integrations, ensuring all components meet high standards of quality and functionality
- Track and prioritize product issues while coordinating solutions with development teams
- Implement and improve scalable QA processes aligned with product goals
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans that ensure excellent user experiences
- Conduct user research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
- Analyze customer feedback and usage data to identify product improvement opportunities
- Partner with engineering teams to define feature specifications and acceptance criteria
- Support the customer success team with technical expertise and product insights
- Create clear product documentation and release communications
- Manage end-to-end coordination of product launches and releases
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- Strong interest in product management and technology products
- Familiarity with quality assurance principles and best practices
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies
- Proficiency in using testing tools and bug tracking systems
- Experience with user research and feedback analysis
- Knowledge of product analytics and data-driven decision making
- Understanding of agile development processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities
