For this role, we have a strong preference for employees who can work hybrid from our Minute Media office in NYC. We are seeking an Associate Production Manager to join the Production Operations team, supporting the daily operations of branded and sponsored content as well as digital media. This role focuses on production logistics, financial management, and overall operational support across various production components. Reporting to the Associate Director of Production Operations, you will work closely with Producers, Directors, Creatives, and other team members to understand production requirements, guide feasibility assessments, manage budgets, and execute productions of varying scales. You will:
  • Create production estimates for incoming RFPs and RFIs, ensuring estimates fit with within target margin
  • Create detailed budget in Movie Magic budgeting software for sold campaigns
  • Lead logistics on all aspects of digital media production (video, photo, article) from pre-production, on-site production, and post-production.
  • Pre-Production responsibilities such as crew and vendor hiring, location sourcing, set purchases, and overall coordination
  • On-Site production responsibilities include traveling for 2-4 days per shoot and managing scouts and day-of production.
  • Review all post production cuts and work with post production coordinator on licensing and clearances, ensuring all documentation is in place before publishing
  • Lead logistics on Associate Director, Production Operation's campaigns and support larger team's productions and overall team initiatives
  • Identify production and post production risk, escalating questions to Production Legal to ensure production success
  • Assist in the payment creation for purchase orders, and the reconciliation of company credit cards for all content captures in a timely manner
  • Actualize expenses, costs, and close out budgets for owned campaigns, revising estimated final cost through the duration of the campaign for tracking purposes and aligning on bi-monthly actuals with Associate Director and Finance
  • Help the production operations team maintain an internal database of key data points
The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location.   • 3-4 years experience in a production management or similar operational role, preferably in digital media, TV, and/or film
  • Must be an organized, quick learner, and have the ability to handle multiple projects at a time, especially when your projects are in various stages
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (2-4 days per shoot) and working outside of 9-5 hours
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have great communication skills when speaking with both Minute Media internal and Minute Media external parties
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiar with various software for tracking and budgeting such as Movie Magic, and willing to learn new software specific to TPT
  • Familiar with production equipment, cinema cameras, lighting, sound, post-production, etc.
  • Interest in the content produced by Minute Media, and eager to grow within Production Management at Minute Media
