Associate Production Supervisor

Location: Austin, TX

Direct Hire

Shift: 3:00 pm – 12:00 Am (Mon – Fri) (Diff 10%)

Job Summary

The Associate Production Supervisor will review daily/regular plant operating performance and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality. Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals. Provide technical/operational advice to project teams. May act as a principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and is responsible for the line's success.
  • Evaluates daily/regular plant operating performance and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution.
  • Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
  • Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals
  • Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance to manufacturing standards.

Requirement:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing
  • 2-year college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams
  • Recent experience in supervisory roles
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Proven track record of building high-performing teams
  • Line production experience
  • Experience with reviewing material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Leadership & Interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
