Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to help lead the team at South Oaks Hospital. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills who will assist in providing oversight of the program to ensure regulatory compliance of the Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the Residency Review Committee (RRC). The ideal candidate will ensure the completeness of the educational training experience, comply with institutional and regulatory guidelines, and maintain the adequacy of the educational environment. Responsibilities will be split between the Associate Program Director role and clinical work aligned with interest. Applicants should have experience working in an Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) or Graduate Medical Education (GME) setting, and desire to take part in leadership of all aspects of a dynamic and nationally known training program. Work responsibilities will include leadership of the clinical curriculum, didactic curriculum, and/or assessment program. Our team is looking for a proactive and engaged colleague, interested in expanding their medical and educational horizons and helping to develop the next generation of psychiatrists.
South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border of Long Island.
