Member Relations and Education (MRE) is responsible for engaging with firms to foster a mutual understanding of business and regulatory matters among FINRA and the firms we regulate; developing resources to assist firms; and providing educational opportunities to advance understanding of and compliance with a firm's regulatory obligations. MRE accomplishes this in a variety of ways, including, managing regional and advisory committees; capturing feedback from committees and firms; and planning and implementing conferences, events, and other industry education initiatives on rules, key topics and FINRA initiatives.The Associate Program Manager, Outreach and Feedback is responsible for the development and day-to-day planning of MRE's outreach events by using analytical, communication, and planning skills, as well as exercising discretion and independent judgement, to plan, enhance, coordinate, and implement MRE's various committee meetings, working groups, roundtables, and other outreach initiatives with internal and external participants.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for supporting the development and execution of MRE strategic outreach and feedback plan.Independently partners with leaders and subject matter experts across FINRA to develop outreach meeting agendas and materials. This includes planning and strategy meetings with internal subject matter experts and department leaders to develop meeting content and materials with discretion and independent judgment across all outreach & feedback programs. Additionally, works closely with appropriate staff across FINRA to develop priorities and focus areas for FINRA's external Advisory and Regional Committees as well as various working groups.Prepares and develops agendas and meeting materials for MRE's outreach programs.Actively participates in and executes outreach and feedback meetings, which includes interaction and discussion with senior executives of FINRA's member firms.Independently performs detailed analyses to identify key themes from outreach and feedback events to deliver talking points or summaries for senior leadership on trends, issues, and recommended action plans.Oversees the execution of day-of and on-site aspects at outreach meetings and events. Attends in-person meetings (travel required) and leads in preparing post-meeting notes, executive summaries, and action items.Leads the discussion and resolution of action items that result from meetings with member firms. Develops partnerships across MRE to ensure feedback obtained during outreach meetings informs strategic direction of content for educational programming and development of compliance tools.Works directly with Meetings and Conference Services (MCS) in the development and execution of outreach meetings and events, and makes recommendations for improvements as needed.Develops and tracks the timely completion of all projects and ensures they are within budget.Under the direction of senior staff member, acts as project manager for projects and initiatives, which requires establishing a working relationship across the department and organization to be able to meet deadlines.Demonstrates FINRA's values of Responsibility, Innovation, Collaboration and Expertise, while embracing FINRA's culture of diversity and inclusion, in interactions with colleagues, management, FINRA members, and outside parties.Performs other duties as required.Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of five years of experience in financial services, preferably in compliance or regulation, and a working knowledge of securities products. Degree in business, finance, or communications preferable.Demonstrate expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration tools.Established proficiency in analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills required.Successful candidate must have a strong ability to work under tight deadlines and manage changing priorities, within established guidelines and procedures.Energetic self-starter and constant learner who is proactive, resourceful, creative and works effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.Experienced project management, relationship management and customer service skills with high level of attention to detail.Strong ability to work well under pressure handling a wide variety of tasks; anticipate and adapt to changing workload priorities.Exercises excellent judgment with limited supervision.Proficiency in MS Office suite, Zoom, Concur and Workday.Working Conditions:Hybrid work environment.Extended hours and travel required.For work that is performed in CA, CO, HI, MN, VT, IL, Jersey City, NJ, NY, NY, MD, Washington DC, and WA the chart below outlines the proposed salary range for the corresponding location.
