Associate Program Manager & Outreach Support (Hybrid) Utility Program Services Location: Washington-DC Metro (Hybrid - Home Office with Local Travel) Job Description To support our growth, ICF is seeking an Associate Program Manager to support a variety of commercial utility programs in Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, DC area. Working alongside program managers and our clients, this individual will manage program financials and results, monitor progress reports, and manage client relationships. Candidate will also perform outreach services to secure sound results for program, resolve service customer inquiries, and assist with the overall delivery of utility-sponsored energy conservation programs. A successful candidate will have mechanical industry knowledge and be knowledgeable about project types (such as design/build applications and end-of-life equipment replacements), various technologies, the sales process, and key stakeholders. This position requires interaction with internal and external industry experts as well as interaction across multiple teams to accomplish portfolio-wide goals. While the position is based in Columbia, MD area, local business travel up to 75% may be required.

What you will be doing: - Collaboration with a multi-functional project team to ensure timely and professional completion of all tasks and achieve specific program goals and maintain client relationships.
- Utilize industry knowledge of capital expenditure applications and performance-based maintenance initiatives to motivate service providers to participate in programs that can reduce energy usage and costs for our mutual customers.
- Internal staff coordination of projects including, but not limited to, internal portfolio reviews, and working with internal and client program leads to provide ongoing status updates.
- Recruiting and developing strategic relationships with contractors, energy service companies (ESCO's), equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and engineering/design firms.
- Achieving weekly and monthly targets for site visits, networking events and training seminars.
- Managing performance of participating service providers across multiple programs and creating action plans for improvement.
- Delivering effective communication through technical assistance, program training, and guidance.
- Ensuring incentive budgets, labor, and travel expenses remain within program budget.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 75% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): - Bachelor's Degree (candidates can substitute one year of relevant experience for each year of education)
- 5+ years of experience in creating and executing sales and/or outreach strategies or promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs
- 3+ years of experience in building client relationships and project management
- Must have valid driver's license, able to pass an MVR and pass a background check and drug test.
What we would like you to have: - Established connections with local gas contractors and program stakeholders Experience with demonstrated knowledge of natural-gas fired equipment for space and water heating, building automation and energy management systems, as well as other energy-efficiency measures.
- Industry certification such as: CEM, CEA, or LEED-AP.
- Performed energy audits and energy savings calculations.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining multiple deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working as a project manager in a consulting environment or related workplace
- Strong analytical, detailed problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to take direction and work independently towards final results
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles
- Critical thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths/weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $79,643.00 - $135,392.00 Reston, VA (VA30)
