Requisition Summary The Project Manager Zero emissions powertrain is responsible for the realization of one or more development projects within the constraints of Quality, Timing, Cost and Performance (QTCP). An enthusiastic leader with strong organizational skills and a desire to participate in a dynamic and evolving technical field. Bringing 3+ years of professional experience within an engineering development organization with demonstrated success working on projects. The PACCAR Zero Emissions Powertrain department is developing new electrified components to support applications in the global product offerings under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Leyland brands. This role will contribute to the design, validation, and implementation of a new lithium-ion battery pack for use on commercial vehicles. The successful candidate will have experience in high-voltage battery development related to electrical and electronic components internal to the battery, including packaging for current and future battery systems. This position is located at PACCAR's North Texas Office in Lewisville. Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior project managers to successfully complete on-going and future zero emissions projects.
  • Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of active projects.
  • Realizing the project goals within given quality, time, resource, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate project activities with the product development team, other PACCAR divisions, and suppliers under the direction of the lead project manager.
Qualifications & Skills
  • BS Degree in engineering or related technical field is required.
  • 2-3 years experience in new product development and/or project management.
  • Experience working in a professional, multidisciplinary, and international environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management and flexibility with assigned tasks.
  • Experience and knowledge of: PMBok, Automotive SPICE, or similar processes (i,e TRL).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Willing to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualification
  • PMI Certification preferred
  • Have knowledge of PACCAR's Product Creation Process
