You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious, and have the capability to support the Store Design & Development Group in collaborating with internal departments, partners, vendors and licensees towards developing and maintaining Capri's store fixtures.
What Youll Do:
- Manage all department tracking reports.
- Assist in preparation of presentations and department events.
- Prepare and manage construction schedules.
- Review all schematic, design development and final construction drawings to ensure the company is building cost effective retail and outlet stores.
- Review and ensure Landlord tenant criteria and construction portions of the lease are thoroughly evaluated and communicated to internal and external business partners.
- Based on design development drawings, prepare construction estimates.
- Manage all preconstruction activities: obtain permit information from the permit expeditor, ensure utilities are available upon possession, distribute project contact list to vendors and contractors, alert company of commencement of construction, etc.
- Manage barricades and ensure graphics are installed. Coordinate ordering of barricade and in-store graphics with the Creative Services Director.
- Manage the bid phase: review and negotiate proposals, prepare general contractor bid leveling analysis, ensure all required materials and resources are available and within budgetary guidelines, and ensure all proposals are executed and returned to the vendors.
- Track and maintain project costs-to-date through the approval of all invoices utilizing the department project accounting tracking reports.
- Ensure all owner furnished materials (e.g. lighting, flooring, millwork, etc.) are ordered and delivered to the jobsite according to the construction schedule.
- Manage the construction phase: costs, schedule, quality, and timely completion of punchlists.
- Manage the turnover activities to retail operations.
- Maintain excellent relationships with contractors, consultants, designers and internal customers.
- Ensure all financial closeout documents are complete, correct and timely.
Youll Need to Have:
- Bachelor Degree in architecture or construction management
- 2-3 years experience as a retail construction superintendent or within a store planning/design/construction environment involving an aggressive expansion of retail stores preferred
- Experience working in an environment involving an aggressive real estate expansion program is preferred

- Ability to work independently with strong initiative on many projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines is imperative
