Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in recruiting, onboarding, or as a human resource generalist
  • Related work experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong organizational and people skills required
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret agreements, and government regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Directors, supervisors, and employees
  • Must be fluent in English
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Broad strategic thinker
  • OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Proficient in computer skills and applications such as Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in Excel
  • Must be self-driven, results-oriented and motivated to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be flexible in adapting to changing requirements and priorities
Responsibilities
  • This position will play a key role in the initial screening and interview management entry-level positions across the organization
  • They will screen applicants to select the best qualified and perform initial interviews with applicants before scheduling them with the hiring manager
  • The Associate Recruiter will also utilize the HRIS system to process new hire paperwork and conduct post-offer background checks
  • Additionally, they will play an administrative role in the onboarding and personnel management process
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Lead and hiring managers to bring on the most qualified candidates in a timely manner
  • Contact applicants via phone, e-mail, text, and other avenues
  • Present job opportunities to job seekers and complete phone screens
  • Assist applicants through the hiring process and provide guidance when needed
  • Complete onboarding verification, HRIS enrollment, and benefit enrollment reminders
  • Update and maintain personnel files
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires as they navigate onboarding and benefit issues
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to support retention effort
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to HR on all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Environment

Office/business/school settings with some exposure to the elements depending on workload. Travel required to Planet Aid's operations, meetings and training, as necessary (less than 5%)

Planet Aid is seeking a full-time Associate Recruiter who will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager, in our Corporate Office located in Elkridge, MD. The Associate Recruiter will support Planet Aid with recruiting, onboarding, and administrative HR tasks. This position will play a key role in the initial screening and interview management entry-level positions across the organization.
