Associate Registrar for Registration, Scheduling and Systems with Registrar department. The Associate Registrar for Registration, Scheduling and Systems is responsible for the management of the registration, course scheduling and systems. The pay for this is position is $62,000.00 annually.
Primary Responsibilities: - Serves as part of the leadership team for the department.
- Makes departmental decisions and oversees the department in the absence of the University Registrar.
- Works with other management leaders to determine departmental priorities and resolve key issues.
- Develops policies and procedures in student records area.
- Responsible for managing of the registration, course scheduling, systems and operations in setting goals and deadlines on projects.
- Oversees and manages the production of the operations calendar and daily operations.
- Manages and oversees the staff responsible for maintaining the student information system for the registrar office, and serves as liaison to PWL.
- Identify and determine system requirements.
- Implementation of new applications and configuration within the Student Information System.
Primary Responsibilities Continued: - Ensure system is set up correctly for accurate and timely data management. This includes maintenance functions such as activation/deactivation of curricula; establishment of registration values each semester; maintenance of all validation tables which control registration and maintenance of translation tables to ensure accurate transmittal of data to Purdue.
- Troubleshoot system problems, identify solutions and test outcomes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and programmers to ensure system supports processes and procedures to maintain accurate student records.
- Manages and oversees staff that controls building of the master class schedule each term for the University, assuring accuracy and optimization of the schedule.
- Oversee staff responsible for publishing the University Catalog each year.
- Serves as managing editor, reviewing final copy for accuracy and alignment with academic regulations and policies.
- Assist Registrar in Monitoring the University regulations and procedures established by faculty for the maintenance of student academic records and schedules.
- Assures the Records and Registration area complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Serves as member or designee on various related campus committees and task forces.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Analyst, or related field. * Bachelor's Degree in a non-related field with experience will be considered*
- Five years' experience in a registrar's office or related experience.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner or other higher education administrative databases.
- Experience with responsibilities associated with academic regulations, and university and/or departmental polices.
- Experience in supervisory roles.
- Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
- Project management skills and technical aptitude to understand, monitor, test and update information systems.
- Understanding of the interrelatedness of data as it relates to the organization.
- Ability to meet organizational deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree in related field.
- Working with complex computer files and data structure.
- Experience working in a multi-campus university setting.
