Serving a broad range of customers in the construction, forestry, mining, industrial, governmental, and agricultural industries, as well as trucking, power generation, and marine businesses, Thompson Machinery is a total equipment solution provider.Job Profile:The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) role is designed to align with the company's Earthmoving sales initiatives. ASR territory assignments will align with that of outside Machine Sales Representatives (MSR). The targeted ASR territory responsibility is based on a total market industry opportunity. In areas with high industry opportunity, the ASR can expect to work with a fewer number MSR's. In areas with lower industry opportunity, the ASR will work with a greater number of MSR's. Today, this targeted industry opportunity is 400-600 new machines. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cold calling outbound lead generation for infrequent buyers
  • Responsible for servicing walk-in traffic and inbound leads
  • Centralized quoting for MSR and retail displays
  • Assists with communication between customers and other departments
  • Helps coordinate demonstrations and service loaners
  • Closing administration
  • MSR CRM sales funnel management
CompensationCommission: For every machine (new or used) that is sold by the ASR or MSR that they have responsibility for, a $25 commission will be paid. Commissions will be paid once per month.Monthly Bonus Incentive: Paid once per month following the release of PINS. The bonus incentive will be weighted based on specific KPI performance. The total monthly bonus incentive opportunity is $30 per machine sold (new or used) and will be calculated based on the prior month's results. Safety
  • Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

  • Respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous, timely and responsive manner.
  • Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all time, meeting all Company standards for professionalism.
  • Keep the Manager continually apprised to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary.

  • Meet all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver's license issued by the resident State, and maintain current motor vehicle liability insurance.
Physical Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
  • Able to lift up to 50-80 pounds occasionally.
