Location: Louisville, Kentucky, USAThis exciting opportunity to join our Catalyst division in Louisville, KY. This position will work as an Associate Scientist in the Louisville Research and Development Center. This exciting and rewarding opportunity will include conducting laboratory work for in a Pilot Plant environment, coordinating efforts with R&D project team members, helping develop new and/or improved products, supporting catalyst productions, and providing customer technical services.
Responsibilities - You will perform pilot-scale, small-scale, and bench-scale catalyst preparation
- Be responsible for keeping a very organized and detailed laboratory notebook
- Within a pilot plant type of labortory environment you will develop catalyst preparation methods
- Coordinate of catalyst preparation/production schedules with Plant and Testing
- Carry out experimental data analysis, interpretation, and summary
- Responsible for writing project reports and technical papers, while maintaining lab equipment and troubleshoot problems
- Assist process development and scale up and interact with both internal and external customers on a regular basis to provide product updates and explanations in a consultative manner
- You will also sustain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements - Seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Ideal candidate with know their way around a laboratory and have knowledge of it's equipment.
- Proven strong mechanical aptitude problem solving ability
- Must enjoy service oriented type of work, with the ability to be very hands-on, flexible, and thrive in a team oriented environment
- You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multi-task various projects, with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks
