Job Description:
The Associate Store Planner is responsible for supporting the planning and buying teams as well as store organization during pre and in-season planning processes. They will work closely with the Store Planner to achieve sales and profit objectives for merchandise category/categories, working in conjunction with one or more buying and planning teams.The Associate Store Planner will support the Store Planner with the development and successful execution of strategic plans and effective inventory management techniques.Role DescriptionManage all level-by-door analysis including but not limited to:By-door sales plansAllocation of buysStore-to-store stock balancingSizing by doorUtilize data and store insights to uncover opportunities within the store fleet and provide key findings to merchant teams so they are actioned on.Assist the Store Planner on preseason and in-season management of store inventories to ensure achievement of financial targets (sales, profit, inventory turn, GMROI).Manage leveraging data and tangible feedback to determine ladder planning concept of key items in key markets.Collaborate and partner with cross-functional departments, i.e., Store Merchandising team to ensure success of product strategies and launches.Train and collaborate with the India Allocation team on allocation effectiveness.Manage size curves and lead counterparts through annual update of size curves.Demonstrate proficiency in contributing to a culture of accountability, inclusion, and cohesion.Key Qualifications:Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)Bachelor's Degree Required2-3 Years of experience in financial planning or business modeling, merchandise planning or buyingAnalytical skills and ability to provide analysis to drive the businessKnowledge of retail math and cost accountingMS Excel skills including formulas and data sortingPreferred Qualifications (nice to haves):Ability to present data & influence discussion with peers and members of a cross-functional team.Take on/lead total company projectsAbility to solve problems through analyzing large data setsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group - executives, managers, and subject matter experts within and outside of the Store Planning teamAbility to multitask and prioritizeStrong organizational skills and attention to detail is an equal opportunity employer.
