The PositionThis position is responsible for supporting utilization of the Novo Nordisk Sourcing Methodology through Strategic Sourcing activities. This position will ensure the acquisition of high-quality goods/services at the best possible prices by preparing and vetting contracts & maintaining relationships with selected suppliers. Will be responsible for ensuring that Novo Nordisk will realize increased investment efficiency of monies spent & ensure fair value & service accountability. Assist in identifying opportunities for operational improvements & seeks agreement through consensus management.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field of study from an accredited university requiredMinimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in Strategic Sourcing &/or purchasing requiredMinimum of three (3) years of experience sourcing &/or managing manufacturing spend categories &/or managing eSourcing events requiredExperience in Raw Material Sourcing Management or Category Management preferredExperience from the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industries is a plusStrong Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodologies, Processes & Purchasing practices preferredDemonstrated ability to work in a sourcing project team to develop and implement projects, processes, & programs preferredProficient with PCs, Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Tools, Ariba or other eSourcing & contracts management systems preferredStrong Negotiation skills & contracting skills preferredExcellent verbal & written communication skills as well as good presentation skills preferredComputer skills including experience with Excel & electronic Material management systems preferredFamiliarity with SAP preferredProven process improvement & problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn LEAN & Flow concepts & skills a plusAbility to develop strategic sourcing advice & sourcing plans based on supply & demand dynamics combined with business requirements a plusWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.At Novo Nordisk we recognize that it is no longer good enough to aspire to be the best company in the world.
