This role is responsible for supporting the two main areas of Systems Engineering: System Architecture/Design and Integration and Test (I&T). The role supports the technical success of the product, from an overall systems engineering perspective, working all aspects of the full systems life cycle development process (the big V).

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration, formal verification, formal validation, and fielding support.
  • Assist in the performance of requirements analysis using DOORS, UML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML), and other system engineering practices.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones and subsequent gate reviews.
  • Assist in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation in support of engineering solutions that include, but are not limited to, architectural drawings, detailed design specifications, and thorough implementation instructions.
  • Maintain standards compliance
  • Able to work under general supervision to set objectives
  • Communicate with contacts within own team

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience
