First Flight Veterinary Hospital and Mobile Services is a privately-owned, family-oriented practice focused predominately on small animal medicine but do serve a small population of horses. We serve both Dare and Currituck counties on the wonderful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our practice is located just 2 miles from the beautiful beaches of Kitty Hawk. The Outer Banks is a very popular vacation destination, known all over the world for its beautiful beaches, water activities, nature preserves and all of the wonderful outdoor activities that come along with the island. We are seeking to add another veterinarian to our team. We have a beautiful 3,000 square foot facility as well as a fully stocked truck/Bowie box that we use for farm calls and house calls. Our hospital was just built in 2021 and has digital xray, ultrasound, a dental suite with dental radiology, Companion Laser, PRP, and a well equipped in house lab. We also offer the integrative therapies of acupuncture and animal chiropractic for our patients. We have an amazing team of support staff that are passionate and talented that work alongside our veterinarians to offer the best medicine and surgery possible. What do we offer? --Competitive salary and benefits --Flexible scheduling (NO WEEKENDS!) --Mentorship --Professional growth --Paid working interview Responsibilities: - Perform medical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments - Develop treatment plans and communicate them effectively to pet owners - Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed - Provide guidance on animal nutrition, behavior, and overall wellness - Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients in a timely manor - Collaborate and provide guidance and support with the team members to ensure quality patient care Qualifications: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution - NC State licensure to practice veterinary medicine -Excellent communication skills with pet owners and colleagues Joining our team offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your expertise will be valued.
