Job Description:

Omega Funds is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic investor relations professional to support our investor relations and global fundraising activities. As a leading life science venture capital firm, Omega Funds proudly collaborates with top-tier institutional and family office investors from across the world, including educational endowments, pension funds, health systems, non-profit foundations, and family offices. We are seeking an experienced professional that can provide (1) investor relations and communications expertise to enhance Omega's business development, investor communications and investor services functions and (2) additional support on an ad-hoc basis to the legal, finance and operations teams at Omega. In addition, the IR professional will be involved in the maintenance and implementation of Omega's ESG policies.

This role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including the creation of high-quality presentations, investor letters, DDQs and other materials, in addition to helping manage Omega's limited partner relationships, and contributing to the firm's fundraising efforts. This professional will also work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to support cross-functional projects that impact limited partner relationships and fundraising activities.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication, writing, organizational and decision-making skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a competitive sector of the asset management industry.

This position will report to Omega's Head of Investor Relations and offers opportunity for career growth and advancement. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Job Description / Role and Responsibilities

Investor Communications and Business Development

  • Assist in designing and enhancing marketing presentations, collaborating with the wider firm to ensure materials are of the highest quality.
  • Assist with creation of processes around data collection, analysis and drafting in response to investor queries and ad hoc requests, coordinating internally to ensure timely responses.
  • Reply to investor and consultant requests for information, including DDQs and RFPs, using a structured and organized process.
  • Facilitate and/or lead in-person and virtual update meetings with Omega's limited partners.
  • Assist with fundraising activities, including coordinating, and participating in meetings with Omega's senior team and prospective investors.
  • Assist with coordination and management of content and communications for Omega's annual limited partner meeting.
  • Maintain and update investor CRM and similar databases and assist with online LP fundraising portal.

Digital and Social Media Communications

  • Coordinate and assist with Omega Funds website updates.
  • Coordinate and assist with Omega Funds social media site updates.
  • Review portfolio company press releases/websites and how Omega Funds is represented therein.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participation in Omega's ESG policy and implementation development.
  • Ad hoc support of legal, finance and operations teams.

Qualifications:

Seeking individuals who:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree, CFA, or CAIA certification a plus.
  • Preferably have 2-7 years' prior work experience in financial services, ideally in an investor relations or client support role, which involves marketing material creation, investor letter generation, and CRM management.
  • Are intellectually curious, intelligent, resourceful, takes initiative, driven and capable of proactively prioritizing competing demands while delivering results in a timely manner and at the highest level of quality.
  • Have excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills, demonstrating both creativity and attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to collaborate and multi-task across time-sensitive, complex projects.
  • Have discretion and judgment in handling confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Have an advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote & PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM with an ability and desire to learn new technology to drive efficiencies.
  • Are a team player with strong interpersonal skills; a positive, can-do attitude; flexibility; and sense of humor.
  • Exposure to the life sciences or healthcare sector is preferred, but not necessary.
