POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Vice President of Operations partners with the Vice President of Operations for the assigned region to ensure that all areas of patient care are accomplished. This role will assist with staffing both the medical secretaries as well as assist in managing the providers to specific clinics. The AVP Operations will partner with area hospitals to foster a solid partnership between the entity and ARcare. This role must also promote all services provided by ARcare and its family of companies in the assigned areas.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

* Assist Vice President with clinic operations for assigned region.

* Assist Vice President with staffing in the assigned region.

* Responsible for the overall operational (clinical and financial) performance of the assigned clinics.

* Develop and maintain healthy relationships with clinical care team members.

* Seek out opportunities and assist with hosting regional outreach events.

* Promote all ARcare services that are provided in the region.

* Assist in the process of researching and reconciling grievances within respective clinics.

* Attend Corporate functions of the company as needed.

* Maintain existing hospital relations and look to create new relationships with various hospitals within the region.

* Work in conjunction with Professional Services to maximize profitability.

* Work in conjunction with the VP in strategic planning and corporate development.

* Supervises assigned clinic sites. Ensures that the site adheres to all policies and procedures of the organization.

* Provide all new medical staff with job orientations and training.

* Generate reports and assist with projects as assigned by senior leadership.

* Ensures stable and competent organization of the medical office.

* Ensures patient confidentiality and provides patients with needed information.

* Ensures that the medical secretary greets patients and answers telephone in a courteous and professional manner.

* Manages all in-service and clinic meetings.

* Promotes Quality Improvement activities

* Performs all job duties in compliance with the company's Safety and Infection Control Policies.

* Ensures that the clinics follow the company's Environment of Care policies.

* Organize and oversee community feedback via surveys, needs assessments, community education events and other special events (fairs, conferences, etc.)

* Serve as a visual spokesperson and advocate for our mission and services.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree required

Experience: At least five years experience in a healthcare setting required.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies as the organization changes. Ability to learn and utilize electronic record keeping systems such as electronic medical records.

Other Requirements: The ability to relate with effectiveness to the public. The ability to effectively perform several duties of the department and the ability to organize and achieve goals in a busy setting as well as effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
