This role leads the overall planning, operation, and evaluation of the college's accountability planning and effectiveness. The Associate Vice Provost provides leadership in ensuring evidence-based decision-making is used to develop district-wide strategy, assess academic programs and service areas, and implement continuous improvement practices.
Key to this role is maintaining current knowledge of trends in higher education relevant to those trends. The AVP Institutional Effectiveness provides a vision for the department within the broad context of the college's mission, vision, and goals. This role requires extensive collaboration with all areas of the college and external stakeholders. This position represents the college in various civic, community, and professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels as required.
Additionally, this position supports, guides, assesses, and utilizes findings for all areas of the college related to future planning and decision-making. It provides leadership and oversight for systematically documenting the institutional planning and effectiveness process.
The AVP Institutional Effectiveness supports and supervises cross-functional teams as they seek to impact the college's goals and overcome institutional inefficiencies. This position collaborates extensively with all areas of the college.
