Job Description:

This position will be responsible for providing safe and efficient handling, staging and storage of raw materials and finished goods, as well as, the preparation of shipments and loading and unloading of inbound/outbound trucks using powered industrial forklifts and clamp trucks.

Schedule: 2-2-3 shift rotation 7PM-7AM

Essential Functions

  • Unload, check and receive ordered raw materials, parts and supplies.
  • Store, organize and rotate those materials as directed to ensure oldest materials are used first (FIFO).
  • Retrieve certain materials and deliver them to the production machinery in a timely fashion to keep the equipment well supplied with stock.
  • Deliver finished goods to the designated areas in the storage warehouse, to allow for efficient picking of orders and safe and orderly storage until needed.
  • Pick, stack, wrap and stage shipments, recording quantities and pallet contents as needed to ensure safe and efficient receipt at their destination.
  • Repair, repack and label damaged products to mitigate loss as needed.
  • Load outbound trucks with products, ensuring that the product will arrive at the destination in the best possible condition.
  • Perform all required safety checks on any equipment utilized to ensure that the equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable condition.
  • Adhere to all required safety policies related to powered industrial truck operations.
  • Sweep and clean dock area and truck wells to maintain a professional Shipping and Receiving Department.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year in Shipping and Receiving
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to a height of 6 feet regularly
