Job Summary: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks to hire two faculty members with expertise in any of the following clean energy technology areas: 1) electric drive systems for renewable energy; 2) energy-efficient electronics and/or computing systems for sustainable AI; and 3) modeling and integrated design of grid-scale energy storage devices and systems. Outstanding candidates at all levels (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor rank) will be considered.These positions are part of the Wisconsin Research, Innovation and Scholarly Excellence (RISE)-EARTH cluster hire initiative. While the tenure home for this position will be in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), the successful candidate will participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts with other departments, schools and colleges.The ECE Department's mission is to foster a diverse and inclusive community that advances the frontiers of engineering, disseminates discoveries and inventions, and prepares students to make the world a better place for all.
