- Oversee, perform, and document all maintenance required for one FRN-45 Tactical Air Navigation Set (TACAN). Additional Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) equipment may be added to this contract in the future
- Utilize electronic schematics, flow charts, and technical manuals
- Maintain paper and electronic Technical Order (TO) library with required updates
- Document all maintenance actions in appropriate paper and electronic logs
- Use test equipment to aid in maintenance including; peak power meters, DVMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency meters, and various attenuators
- Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections (PMI)
- Handle all aspects of ordering and returning parts through the Air National Guard material and supply system
- Replace components such as capacitors, resistors, modulators, transformers, and transistors using small hand tools, soldering irons, and specialized electronic instruments
- Perform alone or in a supervisory capacity as required
- Drive in a controlled airfield environment observing radio instructions
- Produce and maintain monthly status reports
- Perform standby duties
RequirementsExperience
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, an FCC Radiotelephone Operators License.
- Must have a thorough background in basic electronics and formal training in communication electronics
- Must be familiar with the military technical order system
- Must have a minimum of three years of experience maintaining the FRN-45 TACAN
- Must be able to respond to outages within 2-hrs of call-out as required

Skills/Other Qualifications
- Must be medically approved to lift 50 pounds and be able to efficiently climb stairs and ladders
- Must have experience in climbing poles/towers and possess, or obtain, climbing certification
- Must have or be able to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
- Military experience a plus
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, possess a valid DL, and have an acceptable driving record. Candidate must also successfully pass a background check and drug screening.Approx $80,000 per yearBenefits: Robust benefits package included
