We hope you will apply to become part of our dedicated, fast-moving team of superstars! ZoomCare is seeking an Athena Application Analyst to join our team! The Athena Application Analyst is responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the AthenaHealth EHR system to support clinical workflows and organizational needs. You will manage system upgrades, collaborate with vendors and internal teams, and provide end-user support for troubleshooting. You will develop training sessions and user documentation, assist with data extraction and reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and support workflow optimization. Additionally, you will evaluate new system features and act as a liaison between IT, clinical staff, and AthenaHealth support to enhance system functionality and user experience.   • Configure, optimize, and maintain the AthenaHealth EHR system to support clinical workflows and organizational needs.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement and test system updates.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues related to AthenaHealth applications.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical and administrative staff on the use of AthenaHealth applications.
  • Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
  • Assist with data extraction, reporting, and analysis using AthenaHealth's reporting tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Support the development and management of custom reports to meet operational needs.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to identify opportunities for workflow optimization within the AthenaHealth system.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Evaluate new features and modules of the AthenaHealth platform for potential implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between IT, clinical staff, and AthenaHealth support to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Communicate system changes, updates, and best practices to relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • This is a remote position but you must be located in OR or WA state.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with configuration of AthenaHealth EHR systems
  • Experience in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AthenaHealth system configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • AthenaHealth certification(s) are preferred.
  • Relevant IT certifications are preferred.

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 dependent on experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.
  • The role may require after-hours support or on-call duties during critical system events or upgrades.
