Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United StatesWe are looking for Database Engineers to provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. Your expertise will be used to support systems assisting in the defense of our nation. We have roles for Database Engineers to work individually or as part of a team.Do you have skills and experience in some of the following areas?Supporting the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activitiesSupporting the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance effortsSupporting the development of long and short term requirements for database administration and designAssisting in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading softwareTranslating a set of requirements and data into a usable database schema by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts and macros, updates existing queries, creates new ones to manipulate data into a master fileWorking on or leading the development of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under developmentDeveloping requirement recommendations from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular Business and IT subject matter area (i.e. simple to complex systems)Implementing or directing the organization of requirements and data into a usable database schema by directing development of ad hoc queries, scripts, macros, updates to existing queriesImplementing or directing the overall database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controlsImplementing or directing the development of complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologiesExperience in Information Assurance: DoD 8570.01-M compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level IIIf so, we have an exciting job waiting for you!Active Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.Education: Positions available no matter where you are in your career!Entry Level – Bachelor's degree in a technical field, and no or minimal experience (Note: even without a degree, experience can qualify you for this level with 4 years of relevant experience)Basic Level – Bachelor's degree in a technical field, and 4 years of relevant experienceMid Level – Bachelor's degree in a technical field, and 8 years of relevant experienceSenior Level - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, and 12 years of relevant experienceNote: 5 Years of experience performing as a Database Engineer may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement.Athenix Solutions Group, LLC and its companies Athenix Cyber and SIGINT, and Athenix Special Missions is an EEO/Affirmative action employer and is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
