Athleisure Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:
The Athleisure Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers while driving sales and managing team performance. This role combines leadership, customer service, and product knowledge to promote a positive store environment and achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Assist in driving sales by providing excellent customer service and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer personalized recommendations.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Team Leadership:
- Support the training, development, and performance management of staff.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, product knowledge, and a passion for athleisure wear.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Store Operations:
- Help manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stock organization, and loss prevention.
- Assist in visual merchandising to maintain an appealing store layout that aligns with brand standards.
- Monitor sales performance and provide insights to the Store Manager to identify areas for improvement.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist with cash handling and daily sales reporting.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in retail management or a related field is a plus.
- Previous retail experience, preferably in athleisure or activewear, with a focus on customer service.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the store.
