Our service-oriented mission is in action every day, whether it's by providing care in our facilities, training the next generation of health care professionals, or serving others through international outreach.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:Reports the Manager of Sports Medicine, the Coordinator of Athletic Training Services or the Athletic Trainer Team Lead. In cooperation with the referral source or medical direction to provide care to individuals with athletic injuries, trauma, and disease process, including being involved with the development of injury prevention programs for athletes in the community and clinic settings. Involved with the rehabilitation process by performing a wide variety of treatment procedures consistent with athletic injury care. Responsible for keeping referring physicians updated as needed. Responsible for keeping the referring sports medicine staff member informed on the progress of the referred client and provides supporting documentation. Involved with the full spectrum of youth-adult outpatient orthopedic patients and the physically active. Interacts with patients, co-workers, and customers throughout KHN. Responsible for working in other areas in the sports medicine department.Job Requirements:Bachelor of Science/Art degree.Current license from the Ohio Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers BoardCurrent certification by the Athletic Trainers Board of CertificationCurrent certification at healthcare provider level CPR.QualificationsJob Skills/others:Ability to communicate wellRemains current/increases knowledge in all aspects of Athletic TrainingKnowledge and ability to use equipmentPossesses characteristics of dependability, versatility and teamworkAbility to be flexible and able to adapt to changeAbility to follow procedures and adhere to details is essentialAbility to deal tactfully and effectively with other personnelMust have 1 (one) year of professional experienceMust meet requirements as outlined in the Clinical Ladder section.Compensation details:26.37-30.85PI219cb452ca3c-35216-#######8
