We are looking for a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to join our group. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills. The position includes working in a clinical setting, within a collaborative healthcare model. Responsible for providing administrative and clinical assistance including but not limited to patient intake and pre-screening, assistance to patients and clinical staff in the full scope of Orthopedic services. Candidates will need to have flexibility to travel to other satellite clinic locations as required by the physician.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Under physician supervision, evaluates referred patients and designs/implements plan of care based on physician preferences, patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management and access to health care resources.
  • Documents evaluations and plans of care.
  • Delivers physical care to patients following medical direction including monitoring of patient response and results during care.
  • Instructs patient and/or family members in treatment, activities and home care based on physician preferences.
  • Provides preventative education and counseling to patients, families and groups regarding health maintenance, normal body function, injury prevention, strength and conditioning.
  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to this position.
  • Performs duties of co-workers and subordinates as workload dictates.
  • Stays abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Graduate of approved N.A.T.A school
  • Clinical experience preferably in medical practice setting.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
  • Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC).
