Lake Forest Academy seeks a licensed athletic trainer to work full-time while school is in session. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, screenings, injury prevention programs, athletic consults, injury assessment, and treatment and case management of injured athletes undergoing rehabilitation. Opportunities for supplemental summer employment may also be available. Licensure and certification from NATA and BOC are required for employment.General overview of responsibilities:
- Develop guidelines, protocol and oversee the safety of our student athletes
- Work closely with the appropriate coach and also with LFA's Health Center and doctors in regards to injuries, rehabilitation, and schedule for injured student athletes
- Attend doctor's appointments to support student athletes
- Attend and be available to assist all LFA home games and attend away games when appropriate
- Attend and be available to assist all LFA home games and attend away games when appropriate
- Assist with organization of the entire sports medicine program
- Provide medical coverage for summer sports camps on LFA's campus
- Manage inventory of medical equipment and supplies in the athletic training room
- Set up nutrition guidelines for athletes, and provide continuing education on nutrition for both coaches and athletes
- Organize, Inventory and Supervise uniform room
- Facility set up for matches, games and meets (water, medical)
- Establish good public and employee relations in area of responsibility
- Maintain professional work habits
- Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skills
- Any other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Required experience and/or education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Certification from NATA and BOC
- Licensure in the state of Illinois
- CPR/AED certified
