- Position Summary
- The staff athletic trainer position is a position responsible for evaluating and treating patients in an effort to restore function after an injury. Additionally the athletic trainer will complete administrative duties assigned by supervising physician in order to properly document an othopaedic patient's visit to the clinic to ensure proper payment of such services. This position is also responsible for documenting this treatment in order to ensure proper payment of such services. This position carries out its duties in the clinic, as well as various school and athletic facilities.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in exercise science, physical education or athletic training required. Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association required.
- Credentials
- Licensed with the State of Nebraska for athletic training required. BLS certification required. Driver's license required.
- Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, and/or run constantly.
- Sit occasionally.
- Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally floor to waist.
- Push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Complete up to 13 step staircase occasionally.
- Reach, stoop, bend, and kneel frequently.
- Visual acuity, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity within normal limits for age and gender.
