DEPARTMENT INFORMATION Job Description Summary: The GW Athletic Department is seeking energetic, proactive candidates to help deliver a great fan experience to our guests at basketball games at the Charles E. Smith Center.Working as an Athletic Assistant Temp with the Guest Experience team, the selected candidates' responsibilities are expected to include:
- Serve as a concierge to our guests
- Serve as ushers to help guide guests to their seats, and ensure premium seating is used only by assigned seat holders
- Welcome and direct our special groups, including halftime entertainers, youth athletes, national anthem performers, and others
- Welcoming guests to the Smith Center, and thanking them for attending the event
- Quickly develop expert knowledge of the Smith Center in order to help solve guest needs
- Participate in brief team pre-game meetings
- Provide a welcoming presence to our guests
- Help solve and prevent bottlenecks at key potential congestion points
- Other tasks as assigned
