Times split between Athletics Rental Attendants.General athletic rentals Times: M-Th 8:45 am - 12:00 pm (OPEN POSITION), M-F 5:00 pm-10:00 pm (CLOSED), Sat-Sun 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (CLOSED).Up to 19 hours per weekCompensation: $16.00 per hourPosition SummaryUnder the direction and supervision of the Athletics Manager, the Athletics Rental Attendant is responsible for setting up, conducting, and cleaning up for athletic events. This position coordinates staff and equipment needs to ensure games/practices are conducted in a safe, fair, and timely fashion. Acts as a representative of the Park District; ensuring events operate according to park district policy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares room/facility for event use which includes, but is not limited to, performing set-ups and take-downs, completing required cleanings, and ensuring the building is opened and closed before and after the event. This may include locking/unlocking facility doors and disarming/arming alarm systems.
- Set up and break down duties may include lowering the basketball hoops, making sure the court is ready and safe for play, picking up all garbage from bleachers, bathrooms, and floors, and returning scoreboard controls to designated areas.
- Interacts effectively and professionally with both members of the public and internal employees for events.
- Provides rental information on all rental locations in the Addison Park District.
- Responds to all safety and emergency situations following all required protocols and notifying necessary staff.
- Arrives 20 minutes before rental time to set up for the event/rental.
- Monitors field/facility and game progress. Responds to questions, complaints, and emergencies; takes appropriate courses of action, notifies Athletics Supervisor whenever necessary.
- Monitors gym activities.
- Fills out appropriate accident/incident reports.
- Attends all regularly scheduled meetings or trainings.
- Work hours will be specific to the sports category, as directed by the Athletics Supervisor
- Performs other related duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Some college preferred).
- 18 years of age or older.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
- CPR and AED certified within (6) months of hiring (District provided).
- Bi-lingual preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting, standing, and occasional lifting. May require lifting up to 25 lbs. to set up and stage areas for events.
- Will be required to work indoors and outdoors, which may lead to hot and cold weather and related outdoor conditions, noise, dust, etc., when working throughout the facilities.
