This is a 12 month full time position residing in the Athletic Department within the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Game Operations under the director of the Executive Director of Athletics.
Position Summary:
The Sports Information Specialist is responsible a variety of functions including the publicity and promotion of the Athletic Departments 20 intercollegiate athletic programs and its student-athletes. Responsibilities include producing announcements, news releases and publications, to be distributed to the media and the community through the colleges athletic Web pages and social media channels, as well as through direct requests for information. Responsible for recording accurate in game statistics. Assist with creating / producing video highlights, serving as the PA announcer at events / contests, assist with graphic design and other multi-media tasks as needed and assigned.
