Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Subject Matter Expert (SME) with in-depth knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in scaling these applications on AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our Atlassian tools, implement best practices, and support our growing engineering and operations needs. Key Responsibilities: Atlassian Tool Management: - Administer and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) ensuring optimal performance and availability. - Customize and configure Jira projects, workflows, screens, and dashboards to meet business requirements. - Manage Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to enhance collaboration and documentation. - Administer Bitbucket repositories, permissions, and integrations to support development workflows. AWS Infrastructure: - Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure for hosting Atlassian applications. - Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency, performance, and reliability. - Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring strategies for Atlassian tools on AWS. Scaling and Performance: - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. - Implement best practices for scaling Atlassian applications to handle increased load and usage. Security and Compliance: - Ensure security best practices are applied to all Atlassian applications and their AWS environments. - Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. - Implement access controls and compliance measures in line with industry standards and regulations. Automation and Integration: - Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline Atlassian administration tasks. - Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems and tools to enhance productivity and workflow. User Support and Training: - Provide technical support and training to users of Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. - Develop and maintain documentation for Atlassian tool usage, administration, and best practices. Continuous Improvement: - Stay up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices for Atlassian tools and AWS services. - Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to Atlassian environments. Qualifications: Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). - Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and terraform. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. - Strong knowledge of database management and optimization (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). - Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: - Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administrator) are highly desirable. - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
