Qualifications:
- Must possess New York State Certification as a School Attendance Teacher - Teachers with NYS Certification in other areas welcome to apply
- Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree required
- Experience as an Attendance Teacher and three years of teaching experience preferred
Duties:
- Thoroughly investigate cases of absence or tardiness as requested by the Administration
- Work with student, parents, school and agency personnel to resolve absences and provide needed support
- Assist schools in keeping an accurate census of their pupils
- Keep daily record of work done and prepare quarterly reports on attendance activities
