Associate Attorney, Insurance Coverage Litigation
Our client, a full-service law firm is seeking multiple insurance coverage litigation associates for its Construction Litigation group located in NYC. There is a flexible remote rotation.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years in insurance coverage experience as well as risk transfer and construction insurance coverage.
- Experience in construction defense and construction defect/property damage practice areas a definite plus, any insurance coverage experience will also be considered.
- Must have depositions and court experience.
- Experience should include interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and litigating coverage matters including motions for summary judgment and appeals on coverage related issues.
- Demonstrable experience litigating declaratory judgment actions is helpful
Educational/Experience Requirements
- JD degree with excellent academic credentials.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Admitted and in good standing in New York; admission to New Jersey bar is a plus.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong professional judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task required.
Salary: Competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment.
The salary range is $85,000 to $150,000.
Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
