The Transportation Group of an international law firm is seeking to hire a junior to mid-level associate to join their New York office. The role will require drafting and negotiating maritime and transportation contracts, handling related disputes, and direct contact with clients and attorneys across their global offices. The ideal candidate has/is:

• 1-3 years of law firm experience
• New York Bar (required)
• outstanding academic credentials
• excellent drafting, research, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
• a team player
• a self-starter
• able to quickly take ownership of diverse matters

An asset finance background with a shipping focus or interest as a plus.
