Description We're seeking another motivated, experienced attorney to support our business and civil litigation team in person at our Midtown Atlanta office. We practice business, entertainment, probate and family law. If you've seen Suits or Boston Legal and liked parts of either show, then this may be the place for you. We are a boutique firm practicing big law with some well-known, interesting, and paying clients. The ideal candidate for this position still has excitement about the practice of law and the contributions they can make. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing/revising/drafting/negotiating and advising clients on contracts, performing legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence, managing discovery, and moving files along that you are assigned to work on with the team. Responsibilities •Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients •Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys •Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Qualifications •Must be in Good Standing with the Georgia Bar. •Must have experience in family law, business litigation, AND/OR business/corporate law. •We are not seeking individuals who only have experience in personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice, employment law, and criminal law, respectfully. •Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam •Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients •Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school •Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base •Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
