ATTORNEY FOR INSURANCE PRACTICE GROUPAIWASIAN & ASSOCIATES, LOS ANGELES, CAMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Aiwasian & Associates is an insurance coverage law office that is part of the Chubb Group of Insurers. Aiwasian & Associates specializes in litigating and mediating complex insurance coverage matters for affiliates of the Chubb Group of Insurers in California and throughout the western United States that arise out of environmental, toxic tort, asbestos and other sophisticated claims. The office also provides legal advice and opinions for the Chubb Group of Insurers on a myriad of coverage issues. We have an immediate opening for an attorney with experience in insurance coverage litigation, particularly long tail and complex claims. Aiwasian & Associates has been a respected fixture of the Chubb Group of Insurers for over 25 years. Aiwasian & Associates is unique because it allows an attorney to engage in a meaningful and rewarding insurance coverage litigation practice without having to focus on the business aspects typical of law firms. You will be part of a hands-on, highly collegial practice that features significant direct collaboration with high-level decisionmakers at the Chubb Group of Insurers. The candidate will be expected to proactively litigate, arbitrate, and negotiate their cases, and to present their case strategies to Chubb Management. Excellent analytical, negotiation, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. Skills should include litigation strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing before courts and participating in settlement meetings and mediations. | Education & Experience:Required level of legal experience is flexible, but candidates must have developed knowledge of insurance law and experience in coverage litigation. California Bar admission required. The pay range for the role is $128,500 to $215,000. The total compensation for this position could exceed $250K, depending on an applicant's skills and other factors. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
