As a rapidly expanding multi-specialty law firm, we are in need of an experienced, reliable, and dedicated Attorney to join our growing transportation law department at our Brooklyn, NY office. The associate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and collaborative environment.
We are seeking a self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills, possessing good oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and be personable with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses. The ideal candidate will be a true team player genuinely interested in working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
· Manage cases from inception through trial and appeal.
· Regularly appear in court for conferences and oral arguments.
· Conduct depositions and engage in motion practice.
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
· Must have taken the bar exam. Pending admission is acceptable.
· Licensed to practice law in New York; New Jersey licensure is a plus.
· 1-3 years of litigation experience.
· Detail-oriented with strong deadline management skills.
· Ability to work independently with immediate client contact and responsibility.
· Flexible and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
