Audio Engineer with Major Media Client -1 Year assignmentHybrid- 3 days onsite per week in NYCPay up to $27 per hour w2 based on experience -Audio Engineer/Consultant is responsible for metadata, system, and asset level support for domestic and international users. Good critical listening skills are essential. The Engineer is also responsible for trouble shooting domestic and international supply chain issues. Necessary skill sets include digitization, audio master assembly, upload, clip creation and quality control of digital audio content. This person must be highly organized with a sharp focus on details. Note that this is not a specific creative mixing or mastering position in the company, although knowledge or experience of these skills is necessary as these kinds of tasks do arise. Main responsibilities including but not limited to
- Audio asset ingestion into management system.
- Detailed audio quality control.
- Light editing/mastering of assets if required.
- General help with completing daily work queues as well as large ongoing projects.
- Clearly communicating issues with assets to the job requestor.
- Clearly communicating systems issues to the proper support teams. -AUDIO PROCESSES:
- File package creation from a PMCD or a file-based format through software-based tools
- DDP creation / editing
- DSD creation from SACD
- Detailed quality control and quality assurance on PCM / DSD / Immersive audio formats
- Data entry
- Migration of assets into the asset management system
- Clip point identification (first verse, chorus, etc) for ringtones, TikTok, previews, etc.
- Metadata and asset level troubleshooting
- Light Audio Mastering / Editing
- Audio stem preparation or validation against approved stereo master. Person Specification Essential Desirable Knowledge/ Education - -
- Minimum 3 years' experience audio engineering/editing/postproduction and/or a degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certification.
- Those with professional studio assistant experience idea
- Experience with DDP, DSD, DVD, and Blu ray.
- Experience in Customer service preferred.
- A degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certificationSkills/Experience -

- Must be extremely detail oriented and focused to catch all audio errors.
- Keen to learn and become adept at the role quickly and efficiently.
- Flexible attitude toward workload and prioritising jobs over others.
- Good grasp of song structure necessary. for efficient clip point creation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of system messaging and metadata necessary.
