The Solutions Architect – Audio-Visual supports GTS's sales team as the key technical adviser and product advocate for audio-visual technology and services, and is responsible for the design, bill of materials generation, costing, and sales proposals of audio-visual solutions. The Solutions Architect will scope, plan, and engineer comprehensive audio-visual hardware and software configurations for GTS' sales team to present to customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform walkthroughs of customer sites, and develop custom Audio-Visual solutions for boardroom, theatre, classroom, digital signage, conference, and collaborative settings.
- Design (including cable schematics, elevation drawings, pull schedules, and floor plans) audio visual room layouts to suit a variety of customer needs.
- Create and maintain bill of materials (BOM) for each solution to enable sales team to execute quoting and sales activities.
- Maintain the strategic partnership with vendors providing audio-visual solutions.
- Maintain certifications required by each vendor to maintain GTS partner levels.
- Create costing models that outline overall level of effort (LOE) for services installation team.
- Create cable schematics, elevation drawings, floor plans, and cable pull schedules for customer audio-visual installations.
- Attend customer meetings and provide live demonstrations for customers.
- Provide subject matter expertise and solutioning on these partnerships in the preparation of potential customer opportunities.
- Collect information on project specifications, performance requirements, and known capabilities and limitations.
- Determine customer needs and system limitations by gathering and evaluating information on a variety of factors including cost, installation complexity, and programming effort.
- Review and modify existing recommended software and hardware to improve performance, correct errors, and conform with compatibility requirements of available hardware.
- Design system specifications to meet the project requirements, collaborating with systems installers, network engineers, programmers, and other team members as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of existing high-end audio-visual products and solutions.
- Expert knowledge of A/V installation processes and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and address the needs of users.
- Thorough understanding of computer engineering principles and procedures.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Technology, Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, or related field required.
- Avixa CTS-I or CTS-D Certification.
- High-end audio-visual certifications (such as Crestron or Extron) highly preferred.
- Diversified background with at least 5 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel (50%).
