**Responsibilities:**
+ Perform comprehensive audiologic assessments, including patient history, tailored to age and ability.
+ Differentiate between organic and nonorganic hearing loss through response pattern evaluation.
+ Ensure patient safety by contacting a physician for any care-related incidents.
+ Complete billing responsibilities with proper forms and documentation.
+ Compile and interpret test results to determine various aspects of hearing function.
+ Develop a re/habilitative plan based on auditory function and communication needs.
+ Assess and recommend amplification needs, assisting families in obtaining necessary devices.
+ Counsel families on the special needs of hearing-impaired children to involve them in treatment.
+ Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed, maintaining contact with the care team.
+ Use various audiometry techniques and electroacoustic instruments for assessments.
+ Maintain detailed records and progress notes on patient diagnosis and treatment.
+ Prepare and review reports of findings and recommendations with a licensed audiologist.
+ Refer patients for additional testing and treatment as per professional standards and hospital policy.
+ Bachelor's degree in related field.
+ Must be in the 4th year of an accredited Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program.
+ Analytical ability to evaluate hearing dysfunction, develop habilitative plans and evaluate progress.Interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with patients, family members and staff members.
+ Ability to observe and accurately collect and interpret clinical data.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
