Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Director to join their Architecture, Engineering & Construction group in their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial audits, including project contracts, financial statements, revenue recognition, and cost controls
- Review and evaluate internal controls, financial processes, and accounting practices to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivering exceptional service
- Prepare financial and strategic advice for clients, helping them make informed decisions to improve their business
- Mentor a team of audit senior managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations for the team
- Research industry regulations and accounting standards, ensuring clients' compliance and assessing any risks
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop the firm's strategic vision, business goals, and financial plans
- Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- 8+ years of audit experience
- Experience with Architecture, Engineering & Construction clients
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- CPA required
- Skilled in Excel
